Barrington, Illinois…Join in celebrating our country’s Independence Day at Barrington’s annual 4th of July Parade on Saturday, July 4th, 2015. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. from Barrington High School and will run along Main Street ending at the train station. As part of Barrington’s 150th Anniversary celebration, this year’s parade theme is:

‘Barrington Through the Decades’
– A Sesquicentennial Celebration –

In keeping with the parade theme this year, all entrants must choose a particular decade to represent (1880’s, 1950’s, etc.). Our Barrington Communities are rich with history and we are hoping to see many of the notable events represented in the parade. We even have a creative team ready to assist you with ideas if you need some help. Awards will be presented to the entries which best depict the Parade theme and personify Barrington’s history.

Applications are being accepted from now until June 19th for participation in this year’s parade. Applications may be dropped off at the Village Hall or mailed in, and the application fee is discounted for those forms received before May 31st.

In addition to the parade, the committee will host a Food Drive on the day of the parade itself. For the fourth year in a row, the Food Drive will be sponsored by Heinen’s Fine Foods in Barrington, and all donations will be given to the Barrington and Cuba Township food pantries to benefit local neighbors in need.

Parade application forms, fees, rules, and information on judging as well as information on the food drive may be found here on our website.
